Affiliate Disclosure

We believe in full transparency about how this site generates revenue and how that does — and doesn't — affect our recommendations.

Last updated: January 2025

The Short Version
  • We earn commissions when you click affiliate links and make a purchase — at no extra cost to you.
  • Affiliate relationships never influence our review scores. We give honest ratings regardless of commission.
  • We sometimes recommend products with no affiliate program at all if they're the best option for you.
  • We sometimes rate products we earn commissions on poorly if they don't perform well in testing.
  • Every page with affiliate links includes a clear disclosure notice at the top.

How We Make Money

DigitalsProductivity participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means that when you click on certain links on our site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. This commission comes from the vendor — not from you — and does not increase the price you pay.

We also participate in the JVZoo affiliate network, as well as direct affiliate programs with various digital marketing tool vendors including but not limited to: ActiveCampaign, GetResponse, SEMrush, and others.

FTC Compliance

This disclosure is made in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) guidelines for endorsements and testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 255). The FTC requires that we disclose any "material connection" between us and the companies whose products we recommend — including financial connections like affiliate commissions.

We take this requirement seriously, which is why we disclose our affiliate relationships prominently on every page that contains affiliate links, not just on this disclosure page.

How Affiliate Relationships Affect Our Reviews

Directly: they don't. Our review scores are determined by our testing methodology, which is applied consistently to every product regardless of whether we earn a commission on it.

We have given low scores to tools that pay us commissions. We have given high scores and recommended tools that have no affiliate program. Our editorial independence is non-negotiable — if we compromised it, the site would lose the value that makes it worth running.

What We Don't Do

We do not accept payment for positive reviews. We do not accept free products in exchange for guaranteed positive coverage. We do not allow vendors to review or edit our content before publication. We do not rank tools higher because they pay higher commissions.
